I can't believe how much you have changed our lives for the better. I've never loved such a screaming little ball of anger so much in my entire life. And yet, that was you for the first few months :) But I loved you infinitely just the same. I worried for you, stayed up late with you and did everything I could for you until we found out what was wrong... and thus began stage 2 of your first year.
By Christmas, you were the happy, energetic child everyone knows and loves today. You acid reflux had subsided with some medicine and we were all getting more sleep. You were smiley, chattery, and beautiful as ever.
Soon after, you began crawling at a rapid pace, and I've been trying to keep up with you ever since! Your chattering has gotten slightly more "human" and your mobility has greatly increased to the point of me losing track of you even in our small apartment. You've become more relational and we are starting to see who you will become in the next few years. Your beautiful personality just shines through by your love for people and your readiness to give love to anyone - we could all learn so much by that. Your gorgeous smile (with 3 teeth now!!) lights up my world. Your growing intelligence amuses us on a daily, if not hourly, basis.
We couldn't imagine our lives without you now, and we love you more than anything. We can't wait to see what great accomplishments you will achieve in the next year.
